Credit Authorization – Teachers First Debt
Credit authorization and FCRA disclosure for Teachers First Debt services.
Teachers First Debt is a lead-generation and educational matching service. We are not a lender, broker, or debt payoff provider, and we do not provide financial, legal, or tax advice. We match inquiries to trusted partners who may offer debt payoff, debt consolidation, or related financial options.
This page explains how and why we may obtain and use consumer credit information in connection with your inquiry, and how we protect your rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Our use of credit information is limited to identity and fraud verification and to evaluate information relevant to matching and referral to our trusted partners. We do not pre-qualify you, make underwriting or enrollment decisions, or present firm offers.
By submitting a form on our sites or clicking a button labeled "I'm ready to get my options," "Continue," or similar, you provide written instructions under FCRA § 604(a)(2). You authorize Teachers First Debt and Array US, Inc. to obtain limited information from your consumer file at one or more consumer reporting agencies solely to verify identity, prevent fraud, and evaluate information relevant to matching and referral.
If we refer your inquiry, you also authorize the specific partner or partners to whom we make the introduction to obtain their own consumer report and related information to evaluate eligibility for their programs. Partners use their own access and processes and are responsible for their own disclosures and consents.
We may obtain limited consumer-report information, for example identity-match signals and high-level eligibility attributes such as ranges of revolving balances, plus the basic identity data you provide. We do not obtain or store full consumer reports or credit scores.
We use credit information only to verify identity and prevent fraud, evaluate information relevant to matching and referral to our trusted partners, and support compliance, security, and audit requirements. We do not use credit information to pre-qualify you, make underwriting or enrollment decisions, or present firm offers. Decisions and terms are determined solely by the partner.
We do not sell, share, or redisclose your consumer report, credit scores, or consumer-report-derived attributes to partners. We may share non-CRA information you provide directly, such as contact information and self-reported details, in order to make introductions. Partners independently obtain any consumer report they require.
This Authorization remains in effect until the earlier of (a) 18 months from your most recent form submission or (b) your written revocation. You may revoke at any time by emailing info@teachersfirstdebt.com with the subject line "Revoke Credit Authorization." Revocation does not affect information already obtained or actions already taken in reliance on this Authorization.
This Authorization does not obligate you to purchase any product or service, and it does not guarantee that any partner will extend credit, offer a program, or save you money. Any offer, terms, enrollment, or outcome is solely between you and the partner.
You have the right to know which consumer reporting agency supplied your report, to dispute inaccurate or incomplete information with that agency, and to receive a free copy of your report from each nationwide agency once every 12 months at AnnualCreditReport.com or by calling 1-877-322-8228.
We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect consumer information and limit collection and retention to what is reasonably necessary. We do not store full consumer reports or credit scores; we retain limited information necessary for matching, referral, compliance, and audit.
